To Network or Not To Network

If you have read the book, "Who, Not How," then there's probably no need to explain the unlimited potential of networking, if you do it the right way and fish the right waters for what your business requires. There is an almost mythical power in finding that one individual who can, with a single phone call, unlock the gates you've been ramming your head against! When first getting started, I know I wasted a lot of my time and, frankly, everyone else's attending networking events. I couldn't help the people I met, and for the life of me, I couldn't see how they could help me either. Partly inexperience, partly mindset, and mostly being in the wrong groups. Now, I have a much better idea of where to spend my time. How to find and talk with those who actually need and want what we do. While I still occasionally dread another after-hours cocktail with strangers, more often than not, I have been surprised and delighted at the people I have had the opportunity to connect with and the value that has been created from those random meetings.
